樂團除外，Pat Benatar和Patty Smyth應該是我唯二涉獵的搖滾女將了。不過前者的走紅程度高了一個等級，可說縱橫了整個1980年代，"Hit Me with Your Best Shot"、"Love Is a Battlefield"、"We Belong" 等金曲都是老樂迷耳熟能詳的，也經常成為女權團體或電影的發聲主題曲。

“Gravity's Rainbow”應可算是Pat Benatar的最後一張專輯，當年因為懷孕，而停止了第三支單曲”Everytime I Fall Back”的宣傳工作，可惜了一首好歌被淹沒無名，也未收進後來的精選輯中。

我是從“Gravity's Rainbow”才開始記住Pat Benatar這個名字，往前追溯才知道原來她有著輝煌的歷史、原來這些歌都是她唱的…。我特別喜愛”Everytime I Fall Back”這首歌，因為歌曲的前奏很棒、很吸引人，主歌的鋪陳、引入副歌的方式對很對味，整首歌詞都簡單易懂、訴求表達深刻，這就是最直接的搖滾精神！
